That's Bad... No, That's Good

Who remembers Hee Haw? You know, the cornpone version of Laugh-In? One of the series regulars was comedian Archie Campbell. He was famous for long-winded stories in which one other person - the straight man - fed him lines to work off of. One of his well-known bits was That's Bad... No, That's Good.

I'm going through my own version of that right now. As some of you may remember, I had a some damage to my home from Hurricane Ida.

That's bad.

No, that's good.

Oh, why?

Because a great program called RestoreLA has just approved my application to do (and pay for) a lot of work on my house, replacing my roof, insulating my attic and changing my flooring which got wet and warped.

Well, that's good.

No, that's bad. See, they are also going to replace the ceiling inside my home so I have to empty my home.

Yeah, that's bad.

No, that's good because it will add a lot of value to my house.

Ah, that's good.

No, that's bad. I have to pack up my entire house, take all the art off the walls and have everything moved to storage.

Oh, that is bad.

No, that's good. RestoreLA is not only paying for all the construction / repair work, they are also giving me a moving allowance and a storage allowance.

That's good.

No, that's bad. With everything out of the house, I also have to relocate myself to a hotel for up to 3 months.

That's bad alright.

No, it's good. The hotel has a pool.

That's pretty good.

Yes, it IS good!!!

Okay so my comedy skit leaves a little something to be desired. That's alright. Just wait until next time when I tell you how I "slopped my dripper."
